Have you ever gone to Paris?
Hi guys,
Could you tell me what this means, "have you ever gone to Paris?" I understand "have you ever been to Paris?" What is the difference between them?

Both are correct and in conversation people would get just about the same meaning from both. One uses the verb to go and so emphasizes the going, The other uses the verb to be and so emphasizes the experience of being in Paris. I would assume that the questioner is interested in your experience of Paris unless he she follows up with questions about transportation. "Did you take the train?" "Was it convenient?" Most people are not just about to go to Paris, so this meaning is not common.

I think that there is no difference in meaning between the two sentences. It's just a difference in verb, go vs be. It would be the same if I used the simple past to say either "I was in Paris" or "I went to Paris".
