Non riesco a capire bene - se riferiscono alla parte del paesaggio naturale, queste due parole sono sinonimi pieni?

Today 'rocca' means 'a fortress on a high place', or 'a village' built around that kind of fortress.

'Rocca' could mean 'roccia', in the way described by you, in the past, but now that meaning of 'rocca' is obsolete.
