ich “hab”
Sometimes I find ich hab instead of ich habe, like ”ich hab ihn noch nie gehört.” Do German speakers often omit e of habe?

Yes, we do. Very often. And not just for the word "haben". For "machen, sehen, hören, usw." we also omit the "e". In both written and spoken German.
