What does "to be led to V" mean?
I saw it in the phrase "be led to expect". What does it mean?
Can I use another verbs, not only expect? What will it be the meaning then?

"To be led" is to be guided or directed in a physical or intellectual way.
For example, you might say, "The old woman had bad eye-sight, so she had to be led to her seat".
It can be used when someone is influenced, "she was led to expect that the price would be lowered".
or
It can be used in a negative sense, such as,
"He was misled by the salesman to expect a refund if he was not happy with the product."
Hope this helps
