‘Sometimes’ is important as otherwise it doesn’t sound quite right, as if it is something that happened only once, rather than something that reoccurs.

.
like .. noun --- like a pro, like a boss
as if .. verb -- as if I were a pro, as if I were a boss, as if I can't breathe
