i've encountered the following phrase:
hon sätter på sig hatten.
i am not sure if i understand the meaning well, can you please explain it to me?

'Sätta på' can mean either to put on/attach/switch on/screw (someone (slang))
Hon sätter på sig hatten = She puts on the hat./ She is putting on the hat.
The head is implied in this sentence.
