What is the difference between the two? Do both mean the same?
Make it a point to v/s make a point of/to
->She made a point of spending as much time as possible away from Osborne House.
-> She made it a point to spend (or of spending) as much time as possible away from Osborne House.
They are both correct, and they mean the same thing. the difference is in the grammar - which is not my area of expertise, so I will leave it to someone else to explain it.
