the above translation is correct. 另外的翻译是 'to summon up courage' or 'to force oneself to'

brave it out,
I think this is the best translation.
for example:
I have to brave it ourt, though I know she doesn't love me.(尽管我知道她不爱我,可是我还是得硬着头皮上。)
