would you please tell me the meaning of being issued in this sentence?
the number being issued has fallen from 199 to 100!

being issued meaning given out or perhaps sold.
one context could be a company issuing tickets to a concert and the number of tickets remaining are 100.

This is the passive form of the verb "to issue." (= to distribute, to assign)
(active voice)
