especial means the object is owned by one person and used by one person alone. Not used much.

Hello there,
Such a good question. I did a quick research on the internet and it is the explanation that I found the best:
"Special means "particular, distinguished in a distinct way, or designed for a particular purpose." Specially means "particularly, in a disintguishing manner, or for a particular purpose." Especial is an uncommon adjective. Especially, its adverb form, is much more common."
Hope it helps : )

Hi Ramin
'Especial' is not really used in English anymore - you can use it for emphasis but this is normally in literature from a long time ago. It would sound strange to use this in everyday spoken English.
We just use 'special' most of the time. We do use 'especially', which is an adverb meaning 'very much' or 'particularly' e.g. she worked especially hard on this project OR I like sport, especially football. If you say 'specially', this has a different meaning - it means 'for a specific purpose' e.g. She is specially trained in software design.
Hope that helps.
Ellie.
