「大丈夫、わしがついていてやるから。 大体、人も食えんようでは、立派な人食い鬼にはなれんぞ」how do i translate this?
my translation would be:
"its okay, i will do it. the only important is, if you eat people, you will become a fine people eatine demon"
but i guess its not quite right, atleast it doesnt feel right :/
and in this sentence: 相手は人食い鬼といっても、まだ可愛い娘です。
what does といっても or いっても mean?
and last but not least, what does 「はっけよい。のこった!」mean? here is some bit of context if you need it:
そして男の人と鬼の娘は、さっそく腕相撲をはじめました。
「はっけよい。のこった!」
ところが男の人の力はとても強くて、鬼の娘の腕は今にも倒れそうです。
