True is an adjective typically describing a statement that is factual. Truth is a noun, usually used in an expression "the truth," referring to that fact. For example, it is true that 1+1 = 2. The truth is that 1+1=2.

“True” is a quality (adjective). Ex: That information is true. “Truth” is a noun. Ex: The truth is that I don’t like onions.
