Nerd - Geek - Freaky I'll be very delighted if someone could explain to me the difference between the previous words.

Nerd: A foolish or contemptible person who lacks social skills or is boringly studious. Geek: An unfashionable or socially inept person. Freak: A person regarded as strange because of their unusual appearance or behavior.

A nerd is someone who knows a lot of information about many things and has always received good grades in every class they have taken. It is associated with being a bit boring and studious as well as being a "goody-goody" (mojigato) A Geek is similar to a nerd in that they tend to be smart, but they often only do really well in a couple of subjects because geeks tend to concentrate on a few things to the exclusion of others. For instance, many geeks are very good with computers, but they may not have done well in school (I am kind of like that myself. I am a database developer, but I was not a good student). "Freaky" is not a term that I hear used much around here. I think that may be connected to the Spanish term "friki". Here in the USA, I hear the equivalents of a friki referred to as Geeks. This is because there is such a thing as "Geek culture" which is a bit different from just being a geek. "geek" can refer to just being super involved in something. People who do LARPing (live action role-playing) and COSPLAY (costume play) are examples of people who are very involved in Geek Culture and can be called geeks here or frikis in Spain. Hope that helps

I agree with what the others have said, but I rarely hear the word freaky in relation to a person. Usually it would be something that has happened that would be described as freaky. For example, if I met you tomorrow on a train, that would be freaky.
