What's the difference between "She will not join us" and "She will not being joining us"?

"She will not be joining us" is used to express excuse or disappointment. It is often preceded by "Unfortunately". Example - Kate called and unfortunately she will not be joining us later in the restaurant / at the meeting, etc.
"She will not join us" expresses a deliberate decision. Example - Kate will not join us later because she does not like Amy.
