What do these two sentences mean? Here is the conversation: A:テストにやまかけたら、まったくはずされちゃったんだ。 I don't quite understand the meaning of やまかけた, はずされちゃった and 一枚も二枚も上手って here. Could you tell what they are talking about? Please help me!

①ヤマをかける:guess what will be on an exam ②ヤマを外されちゃった(ヤマをはずした): The contents of the test was not what I studied. You have guessed wrong. My teacher is a cut above the rest!

Let me translate this very casual conversation into more normal Japanese. Perhaps then you can tell what they are saying: A: ... There are two idioms. 1.
