question about pronunciation
Hi, is there a difference between pronouncing masu with and without the "u" at the end? Tatoeba, I've heard many people pronounce the "onegaishimasu" in "Yoroshiku onegaishimasu" with the "u", so instead of saying "onegaishimas", the person said "onegaishimasu" or "desu" instead of "desu".
Could these two ways of pronunciation be used interchangeably?
Thanks in advance.

Do you know Roman letter in Japanese?
We call ローマ字. す is written as SU in Roman letter. So, ます is written masu.
But our real sound is mas rather than masu.
As you said some Japanese or Anime characters say ますぅ which sounds masu. But this pronunciation sounds childish or less intelligent or joking.
