Which word do you use for the teacher's "lecture desk" that's usually in the front of a classroom?
讲台 or 讲桌?

Yes, my question came out weird because Pinyin input method does not distinguish 教师 vs. 教室. I understand I should've been more careful.

And your further question is weird. I presume you actually mean “教室前面”， not "教师前面"？ Yes, the teacher's lecture desk is 讲桌.
