accepting
I was astonished by his complete lack of self-pity. Morrie, who could no longer dance, swim, bathe, or walk. How could he be so accepting?
What does 'accepting' mean here?

I think it is short for 'accepting of his fate/situation'.
He knows what he is like, and is relaxed about that. He isn't worried about it.

Hi Xiao Deng,
I think that means "that person has given up completely in life. He doesn't care anymore about his life. He doesn't react to his condition".
