it goes down
Hello,
Can anybody know about the meaning of the below sentence that I fetched from a sitcom, working mom?
"Why didn't you call me after it all went down?"
The expression above was used when a friend tries to reconnect with her after she had to struggle from being repelled from a company.
Thank you.

So in this case "went down" is used to say:
"When the situation took place"
"When it happened"
