memorize them, review the writing down new words once a day or couple days , if you have a strong motivated mind, and you own willpower, you will be very impressive when you see a new word that you don't know.

If you are required to learn a list of vocabulary (such as in a class) I find flash cards the most useful. Learn 5 words at a time until you have mastered them all. Or create sentences with several new words in each sentence.
If you are just trying to learn some words, learn the vocabulary for things that you like to talk about. Like to cook? Learn all of the ingredients and kitchen tools you need to use as well as the verbs and verb tenses for a particular recipe.
