Does this make sense?
A: Jack bought a new bed and he was later found dead on bed. He'd been dead for 7 days.
B: How do you know it's 7 days?
A: The day his new bed got assembled was 7 days from the day they found him.
Does the last sentence make sense? Can you help correct it?

The last sentence would be better as “The day his new bed was assembled was 7 days before (the day) they found him.”
