Is there a nice way to call someone silly in Spanish? All of the words in the dictionary (tonto, estúpido bobo, ridículo) sound like they are more of an insult but in English silly depends on context whether it's insulting or a little softer.

Creo que están bien los ejemplos que proporcionaste aparte de "estúpido" el cual es mucho más fuerte. In Spanish the tone of voice also matters, just as in English.

There's one term that implies the softness you talk about: "tontorrón"

I think "bobo" and "tonto" are on the softer side.
