Why is it so difficult to get concert tickets in Japan? As a fan, I would love to go to live concerts. At first, I thought it was easy, just choose a date and buy tickets. But no, never that easy. Sometimes it's FanClub limited. Maybe I can register an account, but still no. I was required a real Japanese address for receiving fanclub card and fanclub books. Can these all be digital? At least, fans can choose a real book or digital one.It will make fanclub stuff a lot easier. I heard foreign fans are not welcom by FanClub, that makes me really sad. Also, I need to register a mobile member, ticket board member, live qr member. All these work are for tickets purchase qualification, I heard it's 50% pass rate. Sorry to be so whining, I feel exhausted to get tickets. Can somebody help me understand this kind of culture?

I often go to theaters and buy tickets online. It is just "choose a date and buy tickets", an easy procedure. Then why can't you enjoy the same procedure to buy L'arc en ciel tickets? It is because L'arc en ciel is mega-popular and the plays and concerts I go to is not. In other words, the ticket for L'arc en ciel is probably a 「特定興行入場券」 and mines are not. https://www.gov-online.go.jp/useful/article/201904/1.html チケット転売(reselling tickets) is a problem in Japan In recent years. That is: "ah, there will be the concert of L'arc~en~ciel coming, I am not their fan at all but they are mega-popular. OK, I will buy five tickets saying I'm buying also for friends, and I will resell those tickets to fans at a price five times larger. I will make good money!". To prevent those guys, チケット不正転売禁止法(The law of ticket resale prohibition) started this June in 2019. The application such as "ticket board" or "Live QR" is an effort to comply with this law. https://jp.techcrunch.com/2019/06/14/ticket-board-live-qr/ > Can somebody help me understand this kind of culture? I see it is bothering for you, but I guess what I wrote is the reason. Not a culture but a law. And if I tell you about my experience, ...... (I tried to explain in Chinese.

I'm not sure in the case of L'arc~en~ciel, even living foreign country, there is a way to be a member of the FunClub like in your case. I heard the way is well known to Chinese people. 1) make a real friend who lives in Japan, 2) use his/her address to receive the fun club card and letters, 3) receive the fun club card in Japan (in your case, probably you'll have to show your card and ticket.) Needless to say, you have to be trusted by him/her, but it's not easy, it takes some time. Good luck.

Hello, shannon, I would like to answer your question and can I ask you the name of the artist whose fan club you want to join? (If you don't want to say it, no worries, you don't have to)
