That's a second thing Do you think one can say something like "That's a second thing" meaning that the subject is not so important as something that was said earlier? Eg. - As far as management... - That's a second thing. If the company doesn't pay its workers, management doesn't really matter. Thank you

You'd say 'that's a secondary issue/ problem' rather than 'a second thing'. If we're listing issues we might say 'and another thing ...' if we remember something we want to add to our list.

I agree with Rob. Another way to say it is “secondary matter”. There is an idea that does use your phrase in a similar way: “first things first and second things second”, but it is said quite rarely and “second thing” is never used separately from that that I can think of.
