What is the difference between "has" and "has got" in this sentence?
She has a lot on her plate right now.
She has got a lot on her plate right now.

There is no difference in meaning. However, the second sentence would be more usual as "She's got a lot on her plate right now". We usually contract "has got" to " 's got", unless we need to emphasise it for some reason.
