at a breakneck speed, which one is more common?
I drove my car at breakneck speed.
I drive my car at a breakneck speed.

Both are natural. Probably just region or country specific which is preferred.
For instance, "at a breakneck speed" is my own preference below, though the other sounds equally as good.
"I was traveling at a breakneck speed when I ran off the road"
"I was traveling at breakneck speed when I ran off the road."
