Community TutorWhat would be a good way to say "what is your name in french?"
I was reading in some forums and says that one way could be "Quel est votre nom" but I have seen that you can say "Comment tu t'appelle?"
I would like to know how to use them in a real conversation to sound more natural and not to sound like a robot.
Thank you a lot!

Both are correct. "Comment tu t'appelles?" Is more conversational. "Quel est votre nom" is more formal, polite.

Quel est votre nom? is a formal way of asking. Whereas comment t’appelles tu? Is informal.
