This phrase is related to the English expression "to elbow your way in". To understand it, imagine a crowded bar, and you want to order a drink. So, you use your elbows to push people out of your way. It's not polite, rather rude, but what you need to do sometimes if you want to get what you want. So, the sentence is saying the Apple will have to push hard to get through the crowd and get what it wants.
