Differenza tra "Lei non vedeva" e "Lei non ci vedeva"

Ciao Lucia,
quando usi il verbo "vedere" hai sempre bisogno del complemento oggetto.
Quando dici "Lei non vedeva", noi immediatamente pensiamo "chi o che cosa?".
Se invece dici "non ci vedeva" noi immediatamente pensiamo che era "una persona che non era capace di vedere" forse perché cieca o forse perché era buio o magari per qualche altra circostanza.
