What's the difference between 듣다 and 들리다?

듣다 is just hear
들리다 is like there is sound coming from somewhere so that you can hear. More of passive form

듣다 is active verb(능동사)
들리다 is passive verb(피동사)
나는 노래를 듣는다 (I listen a song)
노래가 들린다 (A song is heard)
보다 is active verb
보이다 is passive verb
나는 바다를 본다(I see the sea)
바다가 보인다 (The sea is seen)
There are two rules of making passive
First, attach ‘-아/어/여지다’ after a verb stem. For most verbs
만들다 : 만들어지다
깨다 : 깨어지다 => 깨지다
켜다 : 켜어지다 => 켜지다
끄다 : 꺼지다
이루다 : 이루어지다
슬프다 : 슬퍼지다
착하다 : 착하여지다 => 착해지다
벌리다 : 벌려지다
Second, attach -이 after a verb stem. 이 can be changed to -히, -리, -기 in order to pronounce easily. For a few commonly used verbs
1. -이
보다 : 보이다
쓰다 : 쓰이다
놓다 : 놓이다
바꾸다 : 바뀌다
덮다 : 덮이다
2. -히 after the finial consonant of ‘ㄱ·ㄷ·ㅂ·ㄺ·ㄵ'
먹다 : 먹히다
읽다 : 읽히다
잡다 : 잡히다
입다 : 입히다
3. -리 after the finial consonant of ‘ㄹ,ㅀ', after 르
뚫다 : 뚫리다
풀다 : 풀리다
밀다 : 밀리다
자르다 : 잘리다
듣다 : 들리다 (* ‘ㄷ’ Irregular verb)
4. -기 after the finial consonant of ‘ㄴ,ㅁ,ㅅ,ㅈ,ㅊ,ㅌ'
안다 : 안기다
벗다 : 벗기다
찢다 : 찢기다
