Are these words (gut vs toll) the same in German?
Are these words (gut vs. toll) the same in German?
if NOT,
could you please give some examples.

they can mean kinda the same, as in "das ist gut/toll" (that's nice/awesome).
but usually "toll" has more the meaning of 'awesome' or 'wonderful' and is a stronger feeling, whereas "gut" is just 'good'
e.g. "Du warst gut" 'you were doing well' vs. "Du warst toll" 'you were terrific'
