How to say "I hope" and "he hopes" in modern standard Arabic?
How to say "I hope" and "he hopes" in modern standard Arabic?
In a textbook that I am studying, I hope = 'amal and he hopes is ya'mal.
But in the dictionary I got 'amul and ya'mul.
Are both forms used or what?

actually both of what you've written is similar
you can say '' ana atmana '' howa yatamana ''
as well
