How to accurately translate "college" and "university" into Korean?
In Vietnam, "colleges" are places where students study for 3 years, while universities are places for students to study for 4 years and often the quality is better than colleges. I would like to ask How to accurately translate "college" and "university" into Korean?. I find many words with mixed meanings, such as 대학, 대학교, 전문 대학...., so it's hard for me to understand their meanings. And I want to translate the sentence "Currently I am studying at Dai Viet College, Department/
Faculty of Korean", how do I write? Thank you!

Hi😄
for 2, 3, 4 years 대학 or 대학교
for 2 or 3 years 전문 대학 or 전문 대학교 or 전문대

In English a college is probably a smaller business. Being smaller it may have better instruction because there are fewer students in each class the professor would know the students more personally. A university would be a much larger business.
I think your sentence, " Currently.......Korean " is good. If you want to add more description you could add a little description after the word college. Like this;
Currently I am studying at Dai Viet College, a top ranked veteranary school, Faculty in the Department of Korean Languages and Culture.
Or ... Dai Viet College, a Liberal arts institution in the northern Province, Faculty Korean Language Department.
