What is the difference between "abrogate" and "abolish"? thx

Hello Hua,
Abrogate and abolish essentially have the same meaning. Abrogate is used in legal and business terms rather than every day use.
Examples:
Our company has abolished a few policies that many employees did not agree with.
This month, due to a breach of contract, we plan to abrogate our contract with our partner company.
