Procurement price What's the meaning of "procurement price" in that passage below? Hundreds of farmers on Tuesday emptied tankers and cans containing thousands of litres of milk on the streets in Sangli, Kolhapur, Jalna, Hingoli, Solapur and Pune demanding an increase in milk procurement prices.

Procurement price is basically the price that the government buys the produce for from the farmers. Most likely in this sentence, the farmers want the government to buy the milk at a higher price because they have been forced to waste their product and want compensation for the waste.

It is most often used for the buying and procurement of bulk items at the lowest price possible, before either selling it or distributing it to people within an organisation. Currently governments are busy procuring face masks to distribute to their countries hospitals. Procurement is a specialised buying often involving millions or billions of $'s or £'s So Miss Palmer has summed it up nicely. The price governments usually or large companies pay for items in bulk.
