Hi Emma, this term means to hang out with, or chill with a good friend for 5 minutes or so. Here's an example:
Dallas: Hey man, what's going on?
Rick: Not much, just sitting at home doing nothing.
Dallas: Well do you wanna kick it a nickel?
Rick: Sure, I'll be over to your place soon.
