Korean little help?
does anyone know what geuleonji (그런지) mean?
and what does it mean in this sentence: 왜 그런지 몰라?
I know wae (왜) means "why", and molla (몰라) means "i don't know", so i guess the sentence means "i dont know why", but there's that "geuleonji" in between?? what does it mean?

hi. how u doin?
simply,
"왜 그런지 몰라?" = "Don't you know why it is?"
"그런지" = "be verb."
basically, "왜 그것이 그런지 몰라?" is the perfect sentence.
you can take out the subject in spoken Korean though.
so, you can say " 왜 그런지 몰라?
M'kay?

안녕, 유메?
The sentence means "I don't know why it's like that". 그런지 stands for 그러한지, which is made up of 그러하-(the stem) and -ㄴ지( a connective ending). 그러하다 is an adjective verb that means 'to be like that'.
이러하다 ⇒ 이러하 + ㄴ지 = 이러한지 ⇒ 이런지
e.g. 왜 이런지 모르겠어
저러하다 ⇒ 저러하 + ㄴ지 = 저러한지 ⇒ 저런지
e.g. 왜 저런지 알아?
-ㄴ지 / -ㄹ지 / -을지/ -은지/ -는지 are basically used to make a noun clause. Once you make a noun clause with any of them and use a verb after a space, you will have made a perfect, flawless sentence. ;)
-ㄴ지 combines with the stem of adjective verbs ending a vowel.
아프다 ⇒ 머리가 왜 아픈지 모르겠어 I don't know why my head aches.
(Just for your information, 아프- + 아 = 아파)
For [-ㅂ다]-shaped adjective verbs, you use -ㄴ지. The 'ㅂ' becomes 우 in this case.
춥다(추우- + -ㄴ지)
⇒ 거기 얼마나 추운지 알아? Do you know how cold it is over there?
-ㄹ지 combines with the stem of action verbs ending a vowel.
아직 어디로 놀러갈지 얘기 안 해봤어
We haven't yet talked about where to go to hang out.
아직 어디로 놀러갈 건지 얘기 안 해봤어 also works, it focuses on 'where to go hang out'
뭐부터 해야 할지 모르겠어. I don't know what to do first.
-을지/은지 combines with the stem of adjective verbs ending with a consonant or double one.
난 그 노래 좋아 I like the song
⇒ 난 그 노래 좋은지 잘 모르겠어 I don't know if the song is good.
어떤 선물이 좋아? What kind of gift do you like?
⇒ 어떤 선물이 좋을지 모르겠어 I don't know which kind of gift you would like.
난 할 수 있어 ⇒ 내가 할 수 있을지 모르겠어 I don't know if I can make it.
-는지 combines with the stem of action verbs ending a vowel.
밥 어떻게 하는지 가르쳐줄래?
Will you tell and show me how to cook rice?
뭐부터 해야 하는지 모르겠어. I don't know what to do first.
