look there are alot of differences between children who grow up in a city and in the countryside. for example children who grow up in the countryside are more taking and caring about customs , you can see also that they have hard dialect in speaking . children who grow up in the countryside also are suffering from the lack services for example there are no modern eqipments , no developing labs, and no good education so most people prefer to make their children grow up in cities so that they can have good education in modern schools. also they can enjoy services like having clubs to practise sports there and so on. although the countryside has disadvantages but it also has an amazing advantage , the children who grow in it and have gifts like poet , the countryside with its beautiful views can develop this gift.

I grew up and still live in the country and I think it is a better environment to grow up in, though this is just my opinion. Pros: 1. You get to be in a smaller school (mine is also one of the best in the country) and get more attention, so you learn more and are more likely to get scholarships. 2. You get to interact with animals on farms and such (I horseback ride and my friend lives on a goat/cow/chicken farm) 3. There is less traffic and therefore it is safer for kids in yards. Also, you may live away from the road so there is no chance of little children getting hit when they wander off. 4. It is a close-knit community. 5. There is less pollution etc in the air (and you can really smell the difference. Cities stink.) 5. You get fresh food! [Corn on the cob, green beans, tomatoes, cantaloupe, watermelon...!] 6. Much lower crime rate. 7. Even more... Cons: 1. Word travels very fast. 2. Now I hate being in cities for an extended amount of time. Though it could just be I am claustrophobic and hate being surrounded by people and buildings. 3. There is less choice for schools. [I only have one school system in my county: an elementary school, a middle school, and a high school] 4. I'm sure there are more, but I cannot think of them now >.<
