Please tell me something about this sentence.
" Look at our helplessness in triumph over king's corps. "

Are you sure it's not the king's corpse? Was the king dead?

"Look at our helplessness in triumph over the king's corps."
This is a confusing point. A group consists of something in plural, but the collective works as a singular. And in this case, it's the singular king in charge of the group/corps.
