Since "tought" is not an English word, I guess your question is: what is the difference between though and but. sometimes, though and but mean the same thing and can be exchanged. for example: I thought he'd been drinking, though I wasn't completely sure. while, when "though" means "although" or "even though" it can not be replaced by but. for example: Though she's almost 40, she still plans to compete.
