For example, a clerk in a shop says "Can I help you?," it is "いらっしゃいませ." When someone is in trouble in a street and you want to help him, you say "Can I help you?," which is "手伝いましょうか?"

There are hundreds of ways to say it in Japanese. It depends where you are.
