derogatory to Chinese,similar to Japs.Anti-China people tend to use it.中国人的蔑称,类似于我们称日本人是日本猪,韩国人棒子一样,是不好的称谓。

Yeah, it's a surely negative way to describe we chinese, and I suppose you might see "chinky" as well. As for me , I have met someone from another country called me "chinky" on a chatting web, it provoked my anger at that moment, so I'm super impressed with this word.

It is not just "derogatory". In the US, at least, it is the analog of the N-word ("ni**er"), for a Chinese (or maybe any Asian?) person. Never should be used! (If you are not a Chinese yourself.)

Chinks is a racial slur refering to Chinese. However, from the wording that were made in the song, " What is this, Chinese, Japanese, look at this! ", it looks like that Chinks is a racial slur refering to Asian.
