How to say I misunderstood something? I want to apologize and say that I had misunderstood a certain part of the mail.missunderstood and misinterpretedI guess I forgot to say I'm looking for the JAPANESE expression. But thanks anyway, Mike Yavel. =)

If you want to apologize, 「すみません。誤解していました。」 (Sumimasen. Gokai shiteimashita.) It implies that your misunderstanding and misinterpretation has already corrected.

Tu dois écrire: "Je suis désolée mais il y a une partie de ton courrier que je n'ai pas comprise" If you've been misinterpreted, you can "Vous m'avez mal comprise" (ou "tu m'as mal comprise")
