about the Teachers' Day Teachers' Day is coming,i want to learn this sentence"老师您辛苦了(lao shi nin xin ku le)"..could i just say " thanks teacher "? thanks^^

A more literal translation (i.e. 直接翻譯) would be: "Teacher, it must have been a pain for you to do this for me"... but we would never say this. Also, we do not address our teachers as "Teacher" like you do in chinese. I would say something like: "You went to a lot of effort (just) for me!" (people also like to say "a whole lot ..." which means the same thing) or "You really went through a lot for me" or "That's too much (, thank you so much)...." (i.e. you did way too much for me ) I would more likely say something like: "Thank you so much! I really appreciate it"... 基本上,在英文沒有对等句。我們的想法、說法、文化不同!
