How to type non-Chinese names? 你们好！ 我名叫Victor. My question for this time is how to write European names on Chinese. And how should I spell it? P.s. I'm using pinyin. I know already that European names typing by their pronunciation but how I see the problem: 'vɪktə - it is an English pronunciation. wéi kè tuō or wéi kè duō - Chinese pronunciation. And in Russian it has one more variant (we don't use Latin transliteration but i think that it would be sound something like that - vɪktər) of pronunciation that differ from both Chinese and English variants. So my point of view is that different languages has different rules of pronunciations.What rules should I use for right pronunciation of foreign names in... chinese way?2 Dark Panther: yep, something like that. For instance I need to type Jake in Chinese ideograms. I'm using Pinyin for typing. To type an ideograms I have to type transcription first and only after that software transform it in ideograms.But Chinese transcription is differ from my expectations.
