Is there any difference between 社員 and 会社員 ? Is there any difference between 社員 and 会社員 ?

"会社員" is an occupation, and "社員" is an employee of a certain company. You can say "私は、SONYの社員です", but you can't say "私は、SONYの会社員です". You would say "私は、会社員です" when someone asks your occupation.
