I'd like to be somewhere far away,
run wherever I want,
no-one will tie me, no-one will squeeze me,
no-one will comb me, splashing soap in my eyes.
It's world without fences, where the happiness prevails
to take over the helm of my life (lit. "to be my own helm and vessel", means just to decide about yourself)
there real dogs will help to awake a dog within me,
there's no walls and boundaries, freedom is spreading,
and this world is what I've wanted for so long.
The puppy doesn't want to spend the rest of his days on the coach like his father,
coz there's so many bones before me, so much to sniff,
and so many flower beds to trample,
break off with the rules that pester me,
I only want a world without fences,
spurring forward totally free,
I own this world today.
