why the word “insurance” the in the phrase“various kinds of insurance,” does not appear with plural form
why the word “insurance” in the phrase“various kinds of insurance” does not appear with plural form?
Simply because it's uncountable.
"Policy" as "a written statement of a contract of insurance" is countable. "Insurance" is not.
Other similar words: "building vs architecture", "statue vs sculpture" etc.
