You bailed?
I want to know what "you bailed" means. I heard it in a movie and looked up the word "bail," but he (the person who was said it to) had not been arrested or anything. Does that mean "you ran away" or "you left me behind"? (I'm guessing so only because that's what he did.) :s
Thank you for another new word! =) I like that. I will try to use it whenever there's a chance. lol

As far as I understand from your words the following meaning of the word "bail" is meant.
"Bail" - money that somebody agrees to pay if a person accused of a crime doesn't appear at their trial. When bail has been arranged, the accused person is allowed to go free until the trial.
He was released on $20000 bail.
"To bail" - to release somebody on bail.
"To bail somebody out" - to pay somebody's bail for them
"To bail somebody out of something" - to rescue somebody from a difficult situation.
In movie "you bailed" means "You can be free because you are bailed(that is somebody paid money for you)

to bail = to drop out in the middle of negotiations or an arrangement
It comes fro warfare, I think. When the army is charging, some people change their minds and drop out. That is called bailing.
