Hello Sergio... I think that "ing" is used as a verb ending in English in the same way that "ando" and "iendo" are used in Spanish. " ED " is a verb ending that creates the simple past tense or the regular past participle of an English verb If the root of the verb ends in " D " or ends in " T " then the " E " of the "ED" ending is sounded. If the root of the verb ends in any other consonant, then the " E " of the ending " ED " is silent. I hope this is helpful. Feel free to correct me.... anyone...... if I have made any mistake here.
